Intern with Canterbury

The Practicum/Intern Program (PIP)

The Practicum/Intern Program (PIP) at Canterbury Counseling is a unique year-round opportunity for Master's Level clinicians who are completing their coursework at two levels.

The first is the Practicum Internship where the goal will be getting acclimated and learning the ins and outs of private practice and nonprofit work. Students will have the opportunity to do lots of observing and shadowing as well as some hands-on experience.

The Internship Program is the next step as students are ending their coursework and preparing for graduation. This experience will include more opportunities for individual session work with clients and potential group settings.

A benefit to this program that makes it unique is the ability to work in a private practice office setting but also experience the nonprofit side with community-based work and help those in Greenville who may not otherwise have access to quality mental health services. The PIP program is also a paid practicum and internship experience.
