Erin Kornahrens, Program Director

MA, Licensed Professional Counselor

Erin is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University (2007) and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Winthrop University (2004). Erin has worked in various settings including group homes across the state, mental health and school settings in Greenville, Clemson and Furman universities, private practice, and most recently a nonprofit that worked to fight human trafficking and help women heal the trauma they experienced. Trauma treatment has been a focus across her career and Erin has obtained various trauma certifications and is a Victim Service Provider for the State of South Carolina. Erin's interests and specialties include: anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, domestic violence, grief and loss, adjustment and phase of life issues, spiritual issues, interpersonal relationship issues, stress, and women's issues. Erin has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral (TF-CBT). Her passion is to work with clients as they learn coping skills, challenge cognitive distortions, and discover that the issues they may be facing do not define them, and to walk in their true identity.

She has been working with a new co-therapist named Oakley who brings lots of peace, love, and snuggles to our sessions. Oakley is in training to become a certified therapy dog and is available but also can hang out with our friends upfront if someone prefers.
