  • Most beginning psychotherapy desire change. While the nature of the change process is often mysterious and spiritual, there are conditions that better support its occurrence. With Joel Koontz, you can expect an eclectic, insight-oriented treatment approach that integrates a loving, self-acceptance with a kind, curious, and honest self-investigation. Joel often integrates Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) in treatment when adverse experiences have left one feeling stuck. He pursued this treatment approach following the completion of a specialization in complex trauma from Richmont Graduate University, where he received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He enjoy working with adults and couples. Joel currently works full-time as an LPC with a local non-profit, supporting wholistic and transformative change for those experiencing a concentration of scarcity in life.
